welcome to the ardán academy of irish dance. if you have an interest in Irish dance or music, are between the ages of 5 and 100, and want to learn more about the irish culture and identity, we extend an invitation to join our school of dance. we operate schools in michigan, ohio, and ontario for beginning and advanced dancers in solo or group dancing. if you want to learn Irish dancing for social enrichment or to dance competitively we can accommodate you and your family. no experience is necessary, as our instructors will teach you from step one and be glad to help.

School Costumes:  If you have a school costume that that you would like to sell. Please put it in the Newsletter. Many new dancers are interested in buying used costumes if they are available.  Contact Jacqueline Barchick to advertise your dress or shoes.

Shoes:  If you are looking for a pair of used shoes, please call the school office to find out what sizes are available.   Used shoes will also be available at the school Open House (Fall & Spring) and the school feis (April).

Open/PrizeWinner Dresses:  If you need an Open/PrizeWinner dress, you can purchase a used one at the school Open House (Fall & Spring) and the school feis (April), or at other feises.  All Feises have a designated area where used (and some new) dresses are up for sale.  Please handle all these dresses very carefully.

The school sells various dance items including new and used dance shoes, practice video tapes, and school garments.  Click on the list below for items and prices:

Boys Costume Rules: First year boys wear a white long sleeved, button down dress shirt, black tie, black slacks, and black socks. Second year dancers may choose to wear either the green kilt, or they may wear the first year outfit with a black suit vest.
